Everybody. You might be able to readily identify what you worship, but often it’s much subtler to tell. I’m not just speaking about those Jesus lovers who worship Him and are fully public about their faith. I am speaking about the non-believers, too. See many a Christian follower isn’t just worshiping Jesus. Sometimes they’re worshiping the ideology of their faith. The friends and the safety of their church. Maybe they worship their family and how blessed they are in it. Or maybe they worship their house or their job or their success.

When I worked in an accounting firm, we always said we could tell a lot about a person by where they spent their money. The same is true of Christians and worship. You can tell a lot about a person by where they spend their time, attention and money on.

If you are going to church on Sunday, and only working at being a good person, you have not been letting the Gospel into your soul, only your brain. Faith is not merely an intellectual undertaking, it is a life-altering endeavor. Your every action will be met with the challenge.

” You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. ”

John 15:16

We are to “bear fruit.” What does this mean? It means, we are to produce from that which we know, which is the Good News of the Gospel and the Lord’s Word. So, go, bear fruit! And let the world see through your deeds that you have your Father on your heart and not just your mind and lips.
